In an ongoing mission to raise awareness regarding Camp Lejeune water and soil contamination, one of the goals of CivilianExposure.org is to seek out opportunities to bring more media attention to the issue. With so many civilian and military personnel exposed from the 1940s to the 1990s, it is imperative that all information be spread through the broadest media outreach possible. Many have potentially moved or relocated to all parts of the world and may not even be aware of their exposure, recent studies or potential available assistance.
Tribe Partners are actively employed alumni, successful in the world of work and keenly aware of what it takes in terms of talent and preparation to become successful. The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta recently selected Gavin P. Smith to join the Camp Lejeune Community Assistance Panel (CAP). Smith, founder of CivilianExposure.org, will serve on the CAP with other notable members under a mandate to build awareness, accountability and assistance for civilians exposed to decades of water and soil contamination aboard Camp Lejeune Marine base in NC.
Late last week, I was proud to launch a project that I have been working on for quite some time. A new non-profit named Civilian Exposure will address water contamination issues aboard Camp Lejeune, NC and other military bases around the country.
