And now this hour's Tropical Weather Outlook….

There is an area of low pressure continues to affect the northwestern Caribbean. It's possible this might become organized toward the end of the week.

There are four weak tropical waves lined up behind each other way out in the Atlantic east of the island chain – but there is nothing series at this time – and no tropical storm formation is expected.

In the Eastern Pacific, a disorganized mass of showers and thunderstorms extends from the Central American coast westward to just south of Mexico. No development is expected out of this area of disturbed weather within the next couple of days

In association with the National Hurricane Center, and produced by CARIBUPDATE NEWS, this is STORM WATCH.

This is STORM WATCH….

Now...This week in Tropical Storm History…

It was this week back in 1996 that Hurricane Allison affected the northwest Caribbean. Allison was an early season hurricane that formed over the northwest Caribbean Sea, the typical genesis area for tropical cyclones in June. It weakened to slightly below hurricane strength just before making landfall in north Florida. Allison was responsible for one death in western Cuba.

AND, the updated general outlook for today June 07 is for no tropical storm formation in the region.

For a quick selected local forecast, we stop over in the Cayman Islands.

The forecast for the Cayman Islands today is for thundershowers and general overcast skies. But as usual it is always nice and warm with a high of 31 C.
